Affiliate Tracking & Referrals FAQ

When you share your unique PartnerStack referral link, and someone clicks it, a tracking cookie is placed in their browser.

If that person signs up and purchases within the valid timeframe, the referral is automatically attributed to you, and your commission is recorded in your PartnerStack account.

Tracking works best when the full journey happens in one continuous session. Because tracking is browser-based, it can be affected by:

  • The browser used
  • Whether cookies are enabled
  • How quickly the user completes their signup or purchase
  • Whether the user interacts with other affiliate links before converting

Yes. While the system works reliably in most cases, there are some scenarios where tracking can fail:

  • The user switches devices (for example, clicks on mobile and buys on desktop)
  • The user switches browsers (for example, clicks in Safari and buys in Chrome)
  • Cookies are blocked, cleared, or declined
  • The user returns later and completes the purchase outside the original session
  • The user clicks another affiliate’s link before purchasing
  • Cookie consent settings prevent tracking from being recorded

No. Referral links and tracking parameters are managed by PartnerStack and cannot be modified.

To ensure the best tracking results, always use your official PartnerStack links exactly as provided..

You can increase the likelihood of successful tracking by:

  • Sending traffic directly through your referral links
  • Encouraging users to complete their signup or purchase in the same session
  • Avoiding redirect chains or link modifications
  • Clearly guiding users on the next step after clicking your link

If you believe a valid referral was not tracked, you can submit a request for review.

To help us investigate quickly, please include:

  • Approximate click date and time
  • Purchase date and time
  • Email used for signup or purchase
  • Traffic source or campaign details

Our team will review the information and respond as quickly as possible.

Each case is reviewed individually based on the information provided and available data.

Where a valid referral can be confirmed, commissions may be credited manually. However, due to tracking limitations outside of our control, not all cases can be verified.

We can review and backdate commissions for referrals that occurred within the past 60 days. For referrals older than 60 days, we can still link the customer to your account where possible, but missed commissions from that period will not be added. We will ensure that you receive commissions for any future activity from that customer.
